Background
The Moree herd is situated approximately one hour from Belfast International Airport in the townland of Moree and is owned and run by Bertie Kelso and sons Andrew and Jonathan. At Moree the emphasis is on breeding cows with high components and type from good cow families. Over the past number of years many top cow families have been introduced to the herd, of which a few are mentioned on the site.
Diet & milking
Cows are fed a simple TMR diet with grass silage the only forage, and being topped up with concentrates in the parlour. Cows are milked 2x day.
